Notice Regarding LMT Production

Dear Valued Customer,

After more than 30 years in business, LMT Liquid, LLC has made the difficult decision to discontinue production of Lithium Metatungstate (LMT) heavy liquid. Our remaining inventory is sold and production will not resume.

This decision was not made lightly. Over the past several years, the tungsten market has experienced substantial increases in raw material costs, along with ongoing supply and availability challenges. At the same time, demand for traditional heavy-liquid separation products has declined as newer analytical technologies and artificial intelligence–based methods continue to replace portions of conventional heavy liquid separation workflows.

These combined factors have made continued production economically unsustainable.

We are deeply grateful for the loyalty and support our customers have shown us over the past three decades. It has been a privilege to serve the mineralogical, geological, laboratory, research, and industrial communities for so many years.

During this wind-down period, we will continue to assist customers with technical support, and transition-related matters to the extent reasonably possible.
